Alberta Native Plant List
There are two regions of Alberta that have hummingbirds and as such, the plants that grow in each of those regions are varied. In the mountains, Rufous hummingbirds feed on the alpine plants available there. In central and northern Alberta where the Ruby-Throats visit, not much is known in terms of their favorite plants. Additional research is needed and any help you can provide regarding their native flower preferences would be useful for future updates to this list.
